First up today - some exciting news. Love Patchwork and Quilting is a new title from Future Publishing and issue 1 is out now! (you can subscribe with a limited time offer of £5 for 3 magazines here). I think it's a great magazine, although I may be a little biased because I have a quilt in this issue. Cotton Reels is a big block quilt that is great for stash busting, and not tricky, so as long as you can sew a straight line and have some basics behind you, it's ideal. Trudi did an amazing job of the quilting, she's so clever. I don't know what I'd do without her on speed dial. I loved making this quilt, it was such a lot of fun to sew and I'm really looking forward to getting it home again so I can curl up under it, especially because it's starting to get a bit cold here.
